The top military leaders of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) and Tigray People’s Liberation Front militias met in Nairobi, Kenya, today.
The leaders met following the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement signed between the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Tigray Peoples’ Liberation Front (TPLF), in South Africa last week.
As per the requirement of the agreement, the top military leadership of ENDF and TPLF militias expected to meet within five days.
“The peace agreement FDRE and TPLF inked days ago states that military commanders would meet within five days. Today is the fifth day and commanders meeting have begun in Nairobi. That ensures safety and expedites humanitarian flow to areas hitherto inaccessible,” said Ethiopian Prime Minister Security Advisor, Ambassador Redwan Hussien, in a tweet a while ago.
